- texture
- It's for sharpening and shaping pencils and charcoal sticks, as well as smudging/smearing etc. with different kinds of mediums. If you use it for the latter, be careful, because it can scratch the paper.
- Sandpaper is good for heaps of stuff, it can creat textures in paintings, by painting on top off it or by rubbing back paint using the sandpaper (works best on wood or metal surfaces) it can be used in photography, construction/sculpture, collographs and printmaking, collage, loads of stuff!
- I don't know what kind of kit you have. But sandpaper can line the bottom of a frame for a beach theme.
- that sandpaper strip is used for keeping your mechanical pencils or regular pencils sharp. Sharpness is precision.
