How do you prevent the different colored sand in a bottle from getting mixed together when you shake it?
My 8 year old daughter is into Sand Art where you add different colored sand in a bottle. The problem is when you shake or even transport the bottle the sand starts to shift and mix together. How do you prevent the different colored sand in a bottle from getting mixed together when you shake it?

- Tap it. Don't shake it. Otherwise, you can't help it. That's why carnies make so much money on those things.
- I believe you are supposed to tightly pack it when putting the sand in,if you already have done that.....try not to shake it.
- you would have too put clear plastic too seperate the two if you dont want them to mix
- fill the bottle so the sand cannot move
- hmm what if your putting something like a clear liquid that dries clear in the middle of the layers to keep them togethr like glue or fingernailpolish or something ...i lvoe those sand art things
- You really aren't supposed to shake them at all you can try putting a very very very thin layer of a clear drying glue between colors to prevent mixing but you may be able to see the glue a little if you use too much
- You have several bottles with one color in each. No more mixed color problems, shake all you want.
- when u finish it, pack it really, really tight until u cant fit anything more, then u can make sure that the sand wont shift
