  1. Not sure how old your son is and what the topic is that he is doing but: ds made a wagon (covered) with popcicles, left over material and ties (cable ties). Dd made a boat out of a old bottle, used popcicle sticks for the mask and added pompoms on it. A straw held it up and it floated. Two litre milk jugs or pop bottles make great bird feeders, drill holes and add skewers for them to rest their feet on. Baby food jars make great crafts, we've made snowmen out of them, or they can be a candy jar. Use an old cup and saucer (glue them together will really bondable glue) and a copper pipe cap to the bottom and either use a piece of copper (pricey) or a piece of dowling and you have a bird feeder. Use old lumber to make a doll house or barn. These are just a few ideas. Hope they help
  2. you should go to www.about.com because i love crafts and they gave me many many ideas hope this helps!
  3. have you tried the childrens craft books? in bookstores. boxes made a set of dice from small square boxes to use in games by painting them and adding the dots . it was bright red dice and green , yellow dice and they were great for out door fun games, of course you use creativitiy to create a fun game.
  4. Go to www.dltk.com scroll to bottom of home page click on view crafts on the site by material needed. Then click on whatever materials you have handy and you have a craft out of recycled materials. This is a great kids site! I use it all the time to get crafts for the after school program were I work.
  5. Vegetable cans can be covered in fabric, to hold pens/pencils. Empty tuna cans covered in fabric can hold paper clips or small change. Paint popsicle sticks to make magnets. He can make books from fabric and cardboard for the insert. http://library.thinkquest.org/J001156/makingbooks/sc_clothcovered.htm
  6. I really must pull out my old Pac-o-fun mags. You know, the ones before they went commercial? They were jam-packed with recycle crafts! How old is you child?
  7. Depends on your childs age and what your son likes to do. You could recycle old candle jars into home decor items. www.shellcraft-guides.com has some free guides which use candle jars.
