What are some fun summer crafts to do with kids?
I have a 2 and a 5 year old. What are some fun crafts that you love to do inside or out. Thanks

- My son who is 3 loves bubbles, we were just outside blowing bubbles for an hour or so. They are inexpensive and once the bubble solution is gone, just fill the bottle up with dish soap and water, works like a charm.
- To take the bubbles a step farther..... you can put bubble solution in a cup or bowl and some powdered tepera paint of food coloring. Take a straw and blow it into the cup. The bubbles will climb to the top. When they do take a piece of paper and lay it on top of the bubble mound. It will leave a bubble print on the paper. Makes fun stationary. Other project ideas.... you can make hand print flowers, fish, hearts, butterflys, and more. Just take your child hand and paint it with washable paint. Press their hand onto a piece of paper. For a flower add a stem below the palm. For a fish put the hand horizontal and draw and eye on the side of the palm below the pinky and a mouth below the eye. For a heart make two handprints overlapping the palms. You can make alot of things out of a hand print or even finger prints. It's a fun art idea. The kids like it because brushing the paint on feels funny and tickles. Mom's like it because it is their child's prints. P.S. In my preschool class I have even made the bubble paper and then made the fish print on the bubble paper.
- Go purchase some butcher paper, we get ours at Costco and pick up some tempra paint in various colors. Set up an area outside, prefferably on the grass, put the kids in clothes you don't care too much about and put paint on their feet. Let them walk all over a big peice of paper, making footprints everywhere. Kids LOVE this sort of thing, absolutley astonished that mom will let them get that messy. It generally turns into an adorable work of art! Have fun!!
