How do you prevent the different colored sand in a bottle from getting mixed together when you shake it? My 8 year old daughter is into Sand Art where you add different colored sand in a bottle. The problem is when you shake or even transport the bottle the sand starts to shift and mix together. How do you prevent the different colored sand in a bottle from getting mixed together when you shake it?

Does anyone remember sand art (1960s), Mixed colored sand and dripped it from bottle to make things.? The bottles looked like plastic ketchup and mustard bottles from a diner in those days. Where to get colored aquarium sand? I have a 55 gal aquarium that I keep my two female African Clawed frogs in. Right now I don't have any substrate on the bottom of the tank, because all I can find a gravel and plain brown sand and I don't want to use those. Does anyone know if any online stores sell colored aquarium sand? I can find it in craft stores, but I'm not sure if that's safe for my frogs? I want colors like blue, green, pink...stuff like that, instead of just the plain colored sand that I keep finding. And I don't want to use gravel with the frogs. I need sand, NOT GRAVEL!! ACF's will sometimes eat the substraight, and eating small grains of sand is much better then pieces of gravel. I guess maybe I'll just get natural colored sand if I can't find it colored.
